What is the cost of fabricating a denture?

The cost of fabricating your denture depends on the type of denture, the quality of teeth, and the material that will be used to fabricate them. Fortunately, a Provincial Fee Guide has been prepared to assist the denturists and patients to determine the proper type of procedure needed and the fees involved. We will discuss the final cost of each denture during your free initial consultation. At our clinic, we use some of the finest materials available in the market, and we also have a variety of teeth to choose from - for every budget.

When does my denture need replacing?

Dentures are unlikely to last a lifetime even if they are made with the sturdiest material available today. Due to the effects of daily usage, they are susceptible to breaking over time. Another important reason to replace your dentures is your natural growth and changes. Your face, jaw, and tissues change over the years making it difficult for your denture to adapt to these physical changes. On an average note, your partial or complete denture might last for up to 5 years, and sometimes, a good set can even last up to 10 years based on the way you maintain it. A need to replace your denture might also arise when it doesn’t have the correct bite, which causes hindrance in performing your daily activities. However, it is best to consult your denturist regularly for professional assistance on the replacement of your dentures.

Why are my dentures loose?

You might face problems with the fitting of your dentures if they are over 5 years old or if they haven’t been relined. Your jawbone and gum tissues are going to shrink over time causing the denture to become loose. This results in a poor fit and causes many other problems. Visit your denturist in this situation to determine the cause of your ill-fitting dentures.
